Bluegrass Vineyard is a veteran-owned small business near Bowling Green, Kentucky.  We currently offer taste testings on Saturdays only, from Noon - 6pm, from March through October.  You can also call/text/email us your order and pick it up at your convenience and receive $1 off per bottle.  Come by to see the vines, sample the wines, and to sign up for our Harvest Days!  Those who help us with the grapes will receive a free lunch, free t-shirt, and a certificate that says "I Helped Stomp Grapes at Bluegrass Vineyard" and you can put your purple footprints on it and take it home with you!

We began making wine in 2011 and are currently producing small batches of hand-crafted wines, all of which are fermented and bottled in Smiths Grove, Kentucky.  Our vineyard produced nearly 4,000 pounds of grapes in 2017, and our labels, signs, and t-shirts are all made in Bowling Green.  We always offer discounts to military members, first responders, and for birthdays, just let us know when purchasing.

Bluegrass Vineyard is located off I-65, approximately one mile south of the Smiths Grove exit 38.  In the spring of 2015, we planted 1,400 grape vines in our Smiths Grove vineyard with a significant amount of help from our neighbors, family and friends.  Today we have more than 1,600 grape vines and expect to plant more in the coming years.  The red varieties we currently offer include Cabernet Franc, Chambourcin, Villard Noir and Noiret.  We also offer several white varieties such as Traminette, Vidal Blanc, Chardonel and Vignoles.  In addition to wine grapes we grow approximately 35 cherry trees, 150 black raspberry bushes, 22 blackberry plants, 100 golden raspberry bushes and some Crimson Red rhubarb plants which are used in our wines.  We invite you to read about our wines and provide feedback on particular wines you would like to see in the future!

On January 24th, 2017, the residents of Smiths Grove voted to allow us to sell wine and offer taste testings at our vineyard.  This special election vote will add to the agri-tourism industry here in the Commonwealth, and will bring additional revenue to Smiths Grove and Warren County.  We are now making plans to plant additional grape vines and build a large barn to serve as a winery (we will use a wedding tent until a proper winery is built).  We are open on weekends only for now as we still have regular jobs and three young kids (and when they have homework, we have homework)!
